About John 

My name is John Mercurio, and I am the CEO of Blue Ocean Search Firm.  I have worked in Veterinary and Human medical device sales, sales management, and Executive leadership for over 30 years.

My career started in Ophthalmology, with a Fortune 500 Company and spanned from 1991 to 2008.  Over that time, I was fortunate to add multiple President Club Member, as well as, Salesperson of the Year awards to my accomplishments.

Between the years of 2008 - 2024, I have worked in the Animal Health space, with various roles including, Independent Sales Representative, Regional Sales Manager, Director of Business Development, Vice President, and Chief Commercial Officer.

One of the most rewarding parts of my career has been in the development of Teams, including, Sales, Sales Management and Executive Leadership. This ultimately led to the pursuit of my professional passion, launching a unique Recruiting/Search Firm focused on the development of systems to manage the recruiting process.

I have a wife, Kelley, four daughters, Jourdan, Kendal, Karysn and Jensen, as well as 4 son-in laws (Jason, Dylan, Paul and Gabe). My wife and I are blessed with 4 Grandchildren, Jennings, Enzo, Owen, and Ella.  We enjoy time with our family, Chiefs Football and playing pickleball.
